“Lovely cottage, well equipped, ideal location for exploring the more Northern part of the New Forest and beyond. The cottage is spaccious, light and airy, with underfloor heating, making it warm and cosy with a wood burning stove available if needed. It is very dog friendly which makes it easy to relax and enjoy our break.”

“Fantastic accommodation, the interior and fittings were to a very high standard, it had everything you could need and had a lovely cosy feel. The location was perfect as well, a 10-15 minute drive to the new Forest or alternatively, you could walk from the cottage to the Martin nature reserve which is around 10 minutes away by foot. We loved the peace and quiet and enjoyed some lovely walks stopping off for refreshments at the local pubs who are all very welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend the accommodation and location to anybody wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few days. The Victoria sponge Cathy left us was delicious and I would make the journey back there for the cake alone!”

“On opening the door, we were greeted by a lovely clean and warm room. We put down our bags and started to explore the very tasteful barn conversion. Next to the log burner, the owner had thoughtfully placed a dog bowl, chew stick, pooh bag, place mat and towel for our Collie, Bear. Soon, we had checked out the kitchen and dining areas, the bedroom and bathroom and were very impressed with the quality of finish and equipment. Everything we needed was there. To top it all, Cathy had even baked a cake for us! Location was great too! 15 minutes walk up the lane is a nature reserve and by car you can easily get to the New Forest or even the coast. We will definitely be going back.”

“Russett is such a beautiful little cottage in the peaceful countryside. Spotlessly clean and with extra touches that show they have really thought of their guests including a lovely cake waiting for us. We loved staying here with our two dogs who even got a bed, bowl and treats left for them. Thank you Catherine we cant wait to come back”

“We had a great stay at Russett in May 2021. The accommodation was perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. Set in stunning countryside, the cottage had everything we needed.”
