Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? A car is recommended as a little more remote than some locations, but perfect base to get anywhere on the south/east/west side of the island

“We stayed here for a weekend break and it was absolutely perfect. The Retreat is in the grounds of Appuldurcombe House, an incredible ruin with a fascinating history run by the National Trust. It was closed to the public due to a flash flood the week before so we were able to wander around the whole grounds by ourselves. The gardens were lovely and our dog enjoyed having the run of them to himself! The accommodation itself was cozy and perfect for a couple, and the host James was really friendly- would definitely recommend. Lots of footpaths nearby so great for walkies too.”
