“Our room in a converted barn building was fine, if a bit tired, especially the bathroom. We hadn't booked dinner and when we asked for a table were initially told we would have to be outside as they weren't having dogs inside. They then changed their minds and put us inside, which was fine, though it was odd that we passed two families with dogs on our way to the table! They were busy ( I think they had a wedding party), and seemed rather flurried. However, the food was very good. There were no treats or anything for our dog, so I would say it was dog tolerant and not as dog friendly as some of the Petspyjamas places we have stayed in. Watlington is a lovely little town with lots of interesting shops, and very friendly.”

“We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Fat Fox and will return. The owners made our 2 dogs feel very welcome, from the artisan doggy biscuits in our room on arrival, to the breakfast doggy sausages and lots of fuss and attention. Our room was small but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. The food was all home cooked, large portions and delicious, luckily there were plenty of long beautiful walks on the doorstep to walk off the excess as well as the quaint little town to explore. The weather was kind and we sat in the pub garden, as the red kites swooped above us. We booked on a 2 night Barking Exclusive deal which was incredible value for money and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.”
