“Tollgate Cottage is a really lovely place to stay, very clean and a great location for beach walks (only a short drive away in Walberswick) or walking out from the cottage into the Estuary area but I'm not sure if dogs are allowed off lead there. It has a pretty and secure garden although if you have a dog that likes to jump fences you may need to put a barrier next to the entrance gate which is low enough for a big dog to dump. The cottage is located beside the A12 but we weren't bothered by the traffic noise as the garden fence is quite high, The White Hart pub is at the top of the lane which has a lovely big beer garden and served excellent food. Only negatives were the beds which were quite uncomfortable and it would be nice to have a coffee machine in the kitchen.”
