“A little out of the way but right on/in the New Forest. Easy to reach Ringwood and other places we wanted to visit, but if we didn't want to go out there were plenty of walks/cycle trails staight from the barn.. Had every thing we needed as we self catered most of the time and it was easy.”

“A lovely cottage. Brilliantly presented with a lovely host Sarah. The kitchen has all you will need, comfortable bedrooms and living areas, with a lovely bathroom. Spacious and thought out. The cottage backs straight onto the forest making access to the outdoors as simple as opening a gate.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We think that a little updating and general maintenance could take this from fine to 'fab' very easily and with not much money spent

“My husband and I booked Meadow Barn for a week away in the new forest. Set in a lovely location and with dog walks a stones throw away, it was the perfect base for us to explore both the local areas and the beaches further afield. The barn itself offers warm comfort and ample cooking facilities and Sarah the owner is friendly and helpful. However, if you are expecting a luxurious stay with plush decor, I would maybe reconsider. A few things need improving and just making good really (the lower plinths and drawers in the kitchen, flickering main lights, buzzing lamp in the lounge, signs everywhere telling us what we can and cannot do was a little oppressive and took the 'romance' out of the stay, the patio needs fixing and making less slippery and the garden, in our opinion needs an overhaul to make it more attractive (get rid of the old shed and check for dog poo before the next guest arrives please),, the view from the lounge window was of an old sofa , the septic tank and an old tractor (this could have been remedied easily, by simply putting a frosting on the window, as this is not for the guests access anyway ), but as a base for sleeping, washing and preparing meals it was fine. I wouldn't have said it was amazing value for 2 but if you are a group of 4 people it's fine.”
