Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? yes
Did you feel your stay was good value for money? no
The Bridge accepts dogs but nothing is provided for them. Of course you have your own dog’s bedding, towels and bowls but it is unusual for a hotel to offer nothing. Also there are no grounds so exercising a dog is not obvious. Despite write ups to the contrary the food is very average pub grub The wine offers good value and the staff are helpful, courteous and very pleasant. The room was large and comfortable in all respects

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Perfect!
Deep velvet sofas in front of a roaring fire on a wet and windy typically British weekend! Perfect antidote to a wet weekend in front of the tele. Instead, we were roaming around Alderley Edge with my little sprocket Henry and then settling in front of the fire fir wine, cocktails and nibbles. Staff were absolutely lovely and attentive to our every need. Loved it!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? not sure if its the hotel or petspyjamas add that's incorrect in room reburishments. Our room clearly hadn't been refurbished
Initial view on arrival was as hoped, friendly modern dog friendly hotel, reception staff were so helpful, were told we didn't need to book to eat. We were given room 12 which certainly wasn't like the pictures on Petspyjamas advert. It was ok, few cob webs, missing grout and broken tiles on the bathroom floor, stained dressing table seat but a good size. Directly outside the window were two gazebos, thankfully they weren't being used in the winter months. Went out for a walk with our puppy when we came back through the main pub doors, were were initially offered high stools, which weren't great for keeping puppy in easy reach, then offered a two seater table next to the bar walkway. We were told dogs weren't allowed in parts which were carpeted. OK if that's the rules then fine, but then another couple arrived with a puppy who were taken to that area and that's were we were taken in the morning for breakfast. Food was lovely and staff very friendly with puppy. We were told we'd have a free drink with every main course, when the bill arrived, we were charged for it and the bar staff (manager I believe) couldn't amend it as she'd already put it through, "did we not want another drink?" she pushed me to sign the bill and then eventually arranged for reception to amend the bill. After eating we went to sit in the reception/lounge which was comfortable but quite loud music and not settling for pup before bedtime. Went to bed pillows lovely, crisp clean bedding. One side of the bed had a lump down the length of the bed, during the night when I turned over, I almost fell out of bed as there was something clearly wrong with the mattress. I wouldn't get up through the night disturbing my husband and puppy and other guests to try to get another room. Dog treats were a bowl and 2 large biscuits, treats in the bar were more appropriate for small puppy. I wonder whether we were given a non refurbished room because we had a dog with us? Not what i expected
