This is a stunning small resort, our 2 en-suite bedroom eco Lodge was beautifully appointed, fresh, clean equipped for our needs. Plus it looks awesome amongst its little community of other lodges and villas. The creative planting and lush green spaces were very well managed, restful and calming. Stanley the WCS was happy to do morning and evening business around the lodge. The hot tub was a lovely touch, we used it twice though as it was the best week weather wise of the year an umbrella outside would have enticed us to enjoy it further. No shade also meant our south facing Lodge got extremely stuffy and sun locked as there was nothing sheltering the property’s tall windows from the suns intensity. I visited the Spa having two wonderful treatments, though we didn’t use either of the pools. We did however eat in Una Kitchen a few times, the outside kitchen was unfortunately closed (first week Sept and baking hot) it would certainly added to the food choices on offer. The menu is small and expectations are high however two dishes were really disappointing: the fish cakes were like pancakes tasted lovely but they were floating around in a thin sauce (I shared me feedback directly) and secondly my husbands pizza was so sparse of topping he could have put the meat all together and it would have fitted on a dessert spoon. He was expecting great things. Staff truly helpful offering beach advice and anything else you possibly wanted to know about Una or the local area. Best bit: Resort (for want of a better word) as a whole, worst lack of dining experiences hence lack of outside bar/dining. Finally a great location for visiting Lands End, St Michael’s Mount, Porthcurno as well as the best beach ‘Hayle’, a must see with the tide out.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our main worry was the massive amount of construction work going on.
Our lodge was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. There was a nice welcome pack for us (nothing for the dogs). The staff were friendly and helpful. the grounds were fairly well kept. We had an excellent meal in their restaurant, albeit, we thought a little expensive. Now for the not so good! We were unpleasantly surprised at the amount of construction work on 3 sides of the complex. We were there over Xmas when all the workers were on holiday, but I would hate to think of the noise when they return. The map of the site which we were given on arrival shows various green areas; all that has now been destroyed to make way for new lodges. The hot tub was very pleasant but totally exposed to everyone. No privacy. The reception was only open during normal working hours. Noone to contact if needed after 7.30pm. No areas where dogs could be let off the lead. Inside. No thought has been given to the position of electrical plugs. Most of them were behind cupboards or beds which we had to move to access them. The light switch for one bedroom was behind the television! No razor sockets in either of the 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms were on the small size so no room for any chairs, and the bed, whilst very comfortable, had an immovable plastic cover on the mattress which caused us to sweat during the night. In spite of all the 'defects', we enjoyed our stay there but would not go back again.

We were upgraded to a 4 bed lodge which was immaculate and very well appointed. The beds were beautifully comfy and we had all we needed for a relaxing stay. The water quality was checked in the hot tub every morning and was a highlight of our stay, having family time under the stars with mood lighting and perfect privacy. We had a corner plot which backed onto the ongoing building area but it wasn't at all intrusive and was well screened with high timber fencing. It would have been easier with our dogs if the garden was enclosed, so they had to remain on leads. The leisure facility was nice but the floor of the changing room was dirty, suggesting that visitors hadn't complied with the resort request to leave outdoor shoes outside the changing room. We would definitely return for another stay. The lodges are well spaced out and the grounds well kept. The quiet peaceful setting and the level of privacy made this a big hit with the family. The staff were always able to offer suggestions for walks, eateries etc We had 3 cars which were easily accommodated but this may be more of a challenge in peak season. We would say 'book it' you won't be disappointed!
