Overall, a disappointing experience. If your dog can't accompany you into the dining room (even a segregated part of the dining room), then it's not really a dog-friendly hotel.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Definitely will stay again.
Impressive hotel, lots of interesting decorative pieces indoors and in the garden and grounds. Dogs are not only welcome but encouraged. Ours was given his own portion of Christmas lunch! The Manager could not be more helpful and all the staff are friendly and approachable.

Lovely hotel in a great location for walking to restaurants shops the river and the park . Rooms were spacious and very clean and you couldn’t hear anything from any other rooms. I was a bit apprehensive as I hadn’t took my dog into a hotel before but he was brilliant! Didn’t eat here as wanted to explore . Lovely architecture and history around the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel, conveniently located for Chester city centre. In a popular area for late-night entertainment, it can be noisy overnight, but not the fault of the hotel. Hotel was welcoming to Beau, our German Shepherd/ Rottie-cross, and we enjoyed breakfast separately from other diners in the Albert Room.

We had a great overnight stay with our dog. Lovely room and friendly staff. We are in the lounge as dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant (which is not a problem). However, the service in the lounge and bar areas was disappointing- our order was incorrect: which was dealt with well and quickly fixed- although my husband had finished his meal by the time I got mine- but a meat burger to a vegetarian isn't great!- and the wait was long. We had no offer of any discount on the bill. It's also a shame you can't order the restaurant menu in the lounge as we had visited for Valentine's weekend and the menu looked lovely. For such an expensive visit, you'd just expect a little more. But I'd recommend to anyone, and hopefully the hotel will up their game for their visitors with their four legged friends!
