“You are able to eat with dog but have to sit in very narrow often crowded bar area which is draughty and if the dog is quite big it’s quite difficult to find somewhere for them to lie safely. Dogs are allowed in public rooms but all floors are bare boards therefore uncomfortable for them. Bowls were provided but were dirty and bed provided was dirty and way too small for the breed of dog. There was only one poo bin which was not conveniently sited. The walking in the grounds was adequate for bathroom breaks and dogs were allowed off lead. We had several issues with housekeeping during our stay but these were rectified quite quickly. The restaurant menu is limited and does not change; we included dinner in our package but might not have done if we’d realised how limited the menu was.”

“Very good venue, with some great facilities. Some additional add-ons would make it perfect, for example, spare dog towels in the room, clean dog bowls and the ability to dine at a table for breakfast and dinner with your dog not just in the library and drawing room.”
