“Burgh Island exceeded expectations, we had a really great time. The hotel is beautiful and it really felt like we had traveled back in time to the 1930s. The food was very good and the cocktail menu was very creative. I dog Davey really enjoyed running around the beach and was made very welcome. We had some issues on check out, we had paid in advance to Petpajamas however this was not reflected on our bill when we were departing and we were asked to pay again, this was really stressful The hotel spoke with the agent and it was sorted, it was a stressful end to a great stay. We will be back at Burgh Island but will book direct next time.”

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? no

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Hugely over-priced for the level of accommodation and the level of service which was more along the lines of ~Faulty Towers.

“Exceptionally expensive .... My Artist's Studio was in fact, a room above the Pilchard Pub as this and the Beach House are the only dog friendly spaces. The noise from the music in the pub could be heard through the floor. When I left I was presented with my bill (even though I had paid Pets' Pyjamas in full a month previously). I had a very hard job convincing the manager who was less than polite that I had in fact paid and fortunately had my final invoice and my credit card bill to prove it. It spoilt my weekend! I was also charged a further £40 for an extra dog for an extra night!! Not good enough Burgh Island Hotel!!”
