Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The food was fantastic, best full English breakfast I have tasted for a long time and beautifully cooked main meals and desserts.

“All the staff made us, and our dog, very welcome, provost a welcome glad of prosecco for use and dog treats for Dexter. The Old Bell is certainly old and had lovely quirky corners to sit and have a quiet drink before dinner. Good sized room, with all the facilities you would expect including a cafetiere and 'proper' coffee”

“1. Arrived Bank Holiday Monday : Had soup for lunch , no bread (need to ask) 2. Had to change room - hot water running out of cold taps 3.Moved to back of hotel from pleasant Character Room at the front of the hotel , to standard room overlooking car park . Tuesday 4.Breakfast : not told of total options , just the cooked . Later discover pastries, yog etc . Lunch : The best bit : hotel prides itself on it’s food . Ordered a . Soup followed by chicken and bacon salad with crotons. A .rolls for soup arrived , no soup then told today’s soup all gone but you can have yesterday’s. We declined. B. Salad arrived - minus crotons , dry bacon , and chicken skin , topped off with half red onion each . Free meal which we did not eat , and no apology . We departed hotel and found a very nice cake shop . Restaurant: does not open Monday and Tuesday Go to the Vine it’s excellent. No housekeeping service, fridge or Nespresso machine ? Could be COVID related , but no management around. Likewise room key security , leave it on the front desk and nobody puts it away . Another guest told me they had no shower screen in their room. We left a day early”
