“The service team in the restaurant was really lovely. A spillage incident was handled very well. Food was fine. The reception team was ok...efficient but not warm. The spa team was ok... professional without being friendly. Pools and saunas are lovely. It was a real shame that the jacuzzi was broken. We were given a room that was boiling hot. We turned radiators off and opened the windows. There were loud vents just outside our window. Also, the floodlight from the car park was shining directly into our window and the curtains weren't sufficient to block it out. We basically didn't sleep as the room was too bright and it was too noisy. We expected a better sleeping environment for that money. Our dog seemed welcome and we received a dog bed and some water. The extra spa treatments were a little underwhelming.”

“A lovely old hotel with superb facilities. The staff are very friendly and we received a very warm welcome and were looked after really well throughout our stay. Food was excellent.”

“Super, lovely hotel, a to die for spa and they love dogs. We had a great three-generation family break with Winston the Basset Hound and couldn't have asked for more. Many thanks to all at Pets Pyjamas and Ockenden Manor.”
