“We were all super spoiled- including our dog Pippy. So many lovely thoughtful touches through the hotel .. great food.. comfiest beds and so clean everywhere. but overall it is the staff that made our stay special.”

“We have just returned from an amazing stay at Whatley Manor. The hotel itself is a stunning example of period architecture. Beautiful honey coloured stone, adorned with climbing flowers and vines and set in lovely, peaceful location. The hotel is very dog friendly, and nearly all of the staff seemed to have dogs! Our suite was sumptuous and beautifully decorated. The spa and pool area were beautiful- the pool area flowed outside. I would definitely recommend Whatley Manor to anyone wishing for a relaxing countryside break within easy reach of surrounding villages, towns, gardens etc.”

“We recently had the pleasure of staying at Whatley Manor, it was an experience beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that extended not only to us but also to our beloved furry companions, Buster and Hugo. The Junior suite we stayed in was nothing short of exquisite - beautifully designed, spacious, and luxurious. It provided the perfect sanctuary for relaxation and comfort throughout our stay. Buster and Hugo were welcomed with open arms, and it was heartwarming to see them greeted with toys, comfortable beds, and bowls. Exploring the hotel grounds was a delight for all of us. The stunning surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for leisurely walks, and the thoughtful placement of dog treats throughout the hotel added an extra layer of joy to our experience. It was evident that Whatley Manor genuinely cares about the well-being and happiness of its four-legged guests. Dining at Greys was fabulous. A delicious meal served in the lounge allowed us to dine alongside Buster and Hugo. And let's not forget about breakfast - Buster and Hugo couldn't have been happier with their sausage and scrambled eggs! Throughout our stay, the staff were exceptional. Their genuine warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel truly valued as guests. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Whatley Manor to anyone looking for a pet-friendly retreat with exceptional service. Our experience was nothing short of perfect, and we will certainly be returning in the future.”

“We stayed in room 1 which was enormous & they had laid out a lovely area for our dog. The food was fantastic in Grey’s Brasserie (which dogs aren’t allowed in) but the Lounge Lobby bar where he was allowed was gorgeous too. Wonderful grounds and spa, lovely staff and beautiful Xmas decorations.”

“We had a fabulous ground floor suite which was truly perfect for our dog Po. Very spacious and comfortable. Great attention to detail with everything you could need and more. The staff were all great, friendly and welcoming, and very kind to Po. Fantastic professional service without being starchy. The grounds and gardens beautifully kept and very accessible. Tasting dinner menu was exceptional; innovative and delicious. I can’t really fault the place! It isn’t inexpensive but terrific value compared with other similar places. Loved it and wholly recommend.”
