Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Shame the closest beach had a Doggy ban Frankie and Dobby probably leave less mess than us humans

“First time ours Dogs Frankie 2 and Dobby 8 Months have been away Owlers Retreat was perfect for them and us. My wife has Mobility issues but managed to walk, assisted, to shops nearby, hopefully go again”

“We booked this as a last minute getaway for two of us and our pup and it didn’t disappoint. The location is as described, very close to the beach. On arrival the cottage was very cosy, very clean and very tidy with all that is needed for self catering. We stayed from 1st-3rd Jan 2024, the weather was foul but it didn’t stop us walking our pup on the beach, getting soaked safe in the knowledge the wood burner would warm us quickly on return. It’s a cosy place with no passing traffic due to its location. It’s dog friendly too with high fencing all round and a lockable gate which is great. Just as good are the local cafes, bars, restaurants and shops of Rye all seemed dog friendly and everyone greeted us with a smile. It’s rare to turn up at a place and get exactly what is described but this place didn’t disappoint, and neither did the host with great communication from the start even to the point of informing us we could check in early if needed. If you’re looking at staying in Camber/Rye don’t think twice about booking Owlers Retreat, just book it. Property 10/10 Location 10/10 Value for money 10/10 Host (really was) 11/10 Having a happy Staffie….. priceless Thanks Dominic, it was worth every penny.”

“A lovely, well appointed, comfortable cottage. A thoughtful welcome pack saw us through to our food delivery. The log fire and the Christmas decorations added to the comfort and cosy atmosphere. To top it all - only a minute's walk to the fabulous beach! Can't recommend this place highly enough - we want to stay in the summer now”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Would recommend this house for a Camber/ Rye base - great walks and beaches nearby

“A beautiful little home with everything you could wish for in it- great secluded garden - ideal for dogs and us. Lovely lounge, outdoor and indoor Furniture, superbly equipped kitchen ans 3 comfy bedrooms too. Minutes from the beach - in summer dogs need to join beach about 5 minutes along the road. Great place for a week’s break”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? A December stay at Owlers retreat was cosy and relaxing. Two minutes walk to the huge Sandy beach where you were soooo socially distanced and your dog could just run and enjoy the space, returning home to a good outdoor hose to wash the sand off paws and

“Pets pyjamas were a very helpful company to deal with especially during this difficult Covid time with bookings needing to be changed etc.”
