“we stayed at the kings arms in the saracen cottage, the cottage could do with a god clean (thank goodness we took a detol multisurface cleaner with us. The ensuite shower ( if you can call it that) was like a converted broom cupboard, the paint was peeling off the the back of the door, and very grubby in the corners, the shower was also grubby,(grout was all black with mould). if you had a shower in one bathroom the other shower resorted to a dribble. The kitchen area was also in need of a good clean, dishwasher was out of action( good job as it was dirty inside so would not have used it). the whole cottage could do with a revamp, at £1500 for 4 nights, not great value for money. The food is Ok and a reasonable price, The beer is expensive and the wine extortionate. The breakfast chef cannot seem to be able to do well done sausage & bacon, the porridge is great one day and barely cooked the next Having said all that the people and staff were very friendly”
