“Very dog friendly no riles or restrictions other than eating in the bar, which was no hardship. The staff were all very friendly and made a fuss of my dog. The room was adequate, although it didnt have a fridge there were multiple plug sockets do i was able to use the mini fridges i brought to chill my dogs food. A great base to explore the area. We both loved it.”

“The hotel and rooms are nice, dated but ok for a short stay. The food is very nice, a little bit disappointed for the cost that you had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast.”

“We were a party of 6 x 50-somethings on a walking weekend with 2 dogs. Very nice food and friendly staff made for a really pleasant atmosphere. Convenient, clean rooms, despite almost pre-fab style of architecture, which (single storey, flat roof) must have been very poorly insulated as the heating needed to be on all the time. We had wondered whether being on the main road would be noisy, but the rooms are down the hill on the garden-side of the inn, so very quiet.”

“What a fantastic stay we have all had at the dog and partidge for new year. The booking process was so easy and efficient with excellent help from staff in choosing a suitable venue for our family. The hotel could not have been any more welcoming to all of us including our bernese mountain dog. The room worked well and was comfortable, warm and clean. The food was lovely and the attention to detail throughout the break was wonderful.”
