Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? Yes
Did you feel your stay was good value for money? No
Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Would have been OK if new pillows, they were lumpy and needed replacing.
We stayed for one night, location beautiful. Dog walk great. Evening meal not great, service poor and food awful. Breakfast was great and service good as older staff on. The room lovely but bed and pillows awful, didn't sleep at all.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation through petspyjamas. The room only had one dog bed and one bowl, no treats or towels. Also, there wasn't anything about petspyjamas or details of on call vet in needed
Accommodation needs updating. Staff very friendly and the food is outstanding.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Trout with our black labrador Teddy. It was a lovely setting right next to the river. The breakfast had an amazing selection and everything was cooked to order. The staff could not have been more welcoming and made recommendations for places to visit. Will definitely return.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our 4 previous Pets Pyjamas visits to hotels have been excellent - this one was disappointing
We had booked the best room - the Indulgent room. It was noisy at night due to a water heater and water tank in the roof being on all the time, so sleeping was difficult. The room was not cleaned each day because the cleaner did not come round until the middle of the afternoon when we wanted to use the room. The dinner menu was expensive with a limited selection of dishes and the quality mediocre. The breakfast room was not open until 8.30 a.m. each day so we did not finish breakfast until between 9.30 and 9.45 a.m.

Dear Peter, Thank you taking the time to leave feedback from your recent trip; we are disappointed to hear your experience wasn't at all as good as it should have been. We pride ourselves not only on our wonderful Pet Concierge Team, but also on the fantastic properties we work with, so we are sorry we didn't get it quite right on this occasion. The Trout at Tadpole Bridge has always been very popular for us, and as you can see from the reviews on our website, our customers are generally very happy with the hotel. We are therefore, sorry to hear this wasn't quite the case on this occasion. We work very closely with all our hotels so we will pass your comments onto the management team there, and continue to keep an eye on things to ensure everything is running smoothly. So thank you for bring this to our attention, we really appreciate it.

We arrived for a two nights stay and on our arrival the pub was welcoming and quaint. As we had arrived early we had a drink and nibbles in the bar which was very pleasant sitting next to a log fire. We were then shown to our room which was very tired. The carpet was threadbare, fraying away from the skirting boards ,black mould patches on the ceiling, damp on the walls, the toilet took ages to fill so you couldn’t flush it,peeling paint etc. After a pleasant meal we retired for the evening and I can honestly say we have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed we even considered sleeping on the floor!!! After a sleepless night we went for breakfast at 9.30. The only member of staff was the house keeper she said the chef had been delayed. Eventually we had eggs on toast which were under cooked so at this point we decided to not stay for the second night and go home. A VERY disappointing stay!!! The said they would refund us for the second night which we presume you will do?

Our dog Bella had a great time at The Trout Inn, she was made very welcome in all areas of the pub. Lovely scenery & good walks right outside, although we could only go one way on this visit because of flooding. The pub was warm & cosy with candles, the food was very nice but menu limited. Our room was large & warm, bit rough round the edges but it was a dog friendly room, bed was large & comfy. A bowl & blanket was provided for Bella but we always take our own.We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, delicious and good choices. However, the rooms were a little ā€˜tired and ragged around the edges’ and could do with being better maintained. Our room had some damp and black mold on the walls and the carpet was slightly frayed / dirty. The problem with dog friendly accommodation is that people often think dog owners don’t have as high standards or won’t mind a bit of dirt...but I have allergies and just because I love my dogs, if I’m paying a reasonable amount of money I expect my accommodation to be clean and well maintained.
