“Winchcombe is a beautiful historic town, although we were surprised by the amount of traffic going through. The Lion is also very historic and the Christmas atmosphere in the bar was great. We found the welcome a bit brusque and breakfast was poorbecause we had to wait 45 minutes for it to come making us late and under pressure. And the food was only average. The chef was apparently unused to doing breakfast. Not much of an apology received.”
