We stayed for 2 nights with our dog Buddy. I appreciate that we are never gpoing to get the 5* bedrooms as we bring our dog. This time we had a very small room , which is obviously adequate and had many amenities , coffee maker , kettle, water etc. . Unfortunately the shower cubicle was so small that I barely fitted in it at 5ft 6". My husband who is 6ft 1" could not get into the shower at for the duration of our stay which was very uncomfortable for him as the weather was so hot. On the plus side the staff were lovely and really spoiled Buddy . The food was delicious and its a short 2 minute walk into Burford which is very convenient.

This Inn is very dog friendly which is a big plus for us. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the open fires are a lovely touch. The heating in the room however seemed to be on a timer which, for the money paid, was disappointing. Afternoons could become quite chilly and while time spent in the room should be kept to a minimum, sometimes circumstances dictate otherwise. Parking was also problematic with on street for the Inn and availability of the sister hotel car park next door. Spaces were very limited when we arrived on a Sunday. Again, for the price, parking should not be a problem. Food was good as was the service. Although we were overcharged upon check out, this was sorted quickly and a refund processed.

Fantastic short break in the Cotswolds at the Lamb Inn. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating for a dog and a 2 month old baby. The food was great and the dog loved the sausage at breakfast with us! Would return, for sure.

Lovely, cozy very dog friendly stay. Room was small, but nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Lots of different spots for people and dogs to relax by the fire. A great spot to stay in Burford while exploring the Cotswolds.

This review isn’t really fair of the hotel, it is more my take on Pets in Pyjamas, I booked our stay and we were really looking forward to our trip. One of the main reasons for choosing PiP was I felt that a dog holiday specific company would offer a level of understanding and empathy with us as dog owners. I was wrong! Clearly the name is just a front for a standard travel company. Our dog was ill 2 days before we travelled and I contacted PiP and explained that we did feel we could travel, pip said the hotel policy was to not refund if cancellation was less than 72 hrs. Whilst I do understand that businesses need to make money, I did expect to get a bit of support and when I asked if there was anything they could offer us for future bookings, a credit, a reduced fee. I received no reply. I have learnt now that despite PiPs fluffy caring outer skin, they are a mercenary money driven business, that I certainly won’t be using again.
