“We arrived early to The Bay Tree & were greeted by the lovely receptionist who showed us to our room as it was ready early.It was everything we wanted, quiet away from the main building with a juliett balcony perfect for our dog Boo who loves to be able to see outdoors & great to sit at for late night drinks. The staff were all lovely, food was lovely though the menu a little limited.The hotel was clean and has beautiful gardens and terrace with table and chairs and deck chairs and set just a minute or 2 walk to the main street.We couldnt fault anything and most of all our dog loved his stay”

“We and our Dog Ned loved every minute of our stay at the Bay Tree. We had a most lovely cottage room overlooking the expansive garden, which Ned enjoyed having a run about on. Breakfast was amazingly quick service lovely food for dinner and breakfast. All the staff we came across were so welcoming and all had time for Ned. Certainly would recommend and no doubt we’ll be back!”

“Everything about this hotel was nice - from an easy check in, to the friendly staff, great room (clean, warm and everything working) and generous breakfast. The hotel is within the town of Burford which has cafes, art galleries and independent shops. Our dog enjoyed her sausage at breakfast every morning and the attention of the staff.”

“A beautiful hotel in great location with easy parking. We stayed in a cottage style room near the garden - ideal for the disabled and our dog. The staff were very friendly and supportive - and the breakfast was excellent!”

“The Bay Tree Hotel is comfortable, welcoming, and very dog friendly. Our pooch even had her own sausage for breakfast! Would definitely recommend - oh and by the way there is private parking at the rear which is a must in this area”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Suggest you add a mini fridge in the room, would have been perfect to have cold water to hand, and able to keep other food /drink items in a cold fridge.

“A lovely hotel /restaurant. Dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in certain parts of the hotel. Food is good. Prices are a little steep but can understand why. We stayed in a garden room, which was lovely, but feel it needs updating/redecorating. The garden rooms do look out onto a lovely garden BUT you cannot access the garden from the patio doors in the room. The patio doors are a Juliet balcony only. I would imagine if there was a party and it congregated in the garden area those in the garden rooms would have the 'party' right outside their windows/balcony which would not be to everyones taste. The staff are friendly and accommodating.”

“The premises were as lovely and welcoming as the staff. The room was perfect (nicely furnished and large) and our two dogs were treated like royalty. Our only concern was the food. We were dinner bed and breakfast and whilst the menu was varied and creative, the actual meal was not as wonderful as expected. Nonetheless, we'll go there again but perhaps enjoy at least one of our dinners elsewhere.”

“Great staff, delicious food and very dog friendly. The staff and guests made a huge fuss of our dog who had some sausages for breakfast mixed in with his dog food. Delicious food and good menu. Lovely bar area and lounge. Trendy decor and comfortable furniture. Unfortunately, our room was the one thing that let it down. It was very cold and noisy due it's location near the car park and some construction work by builders working on a nearby property. The main noise came from passing cars, bikes, vans and trucks right outside our window. We could also hear the people next door and it was very cold without the two electric heaters on. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely but some of the furniture needs replacing as well as the main blind (no blackout blinds). Disappointed in the location of the room and therefore we would not stay overnight. More 3 star rooms than 4 star. Lovely hotel and bar inside.”
