“This holiday cottage is a short distance from Hadrian’s wall, and a perfect location for a walking holiday, as there are ample identified walking routes in the area. The cottage is situated need the A road to Carlisle, but the thick walls of the cottage, meant a peaceful holiday once you have settled inside. There was a warm welcome from the owner of the property (who lives nearby), which included freshly made scones and cake, as well as dog treats. The cottage is very well equipped, from air-fryers to coffee machines. It was also stocked with all the basics from milk to salt and pepper. For the dogs, there is a small enclosed garden attached to the cottage, but we also had access to the owners larger garden. The village of Melkridge is also dog friendly, with a large enclosed field a short walk from the property. The Old Brewery is highly recommend for all that like to holiday with their furry friends.”
