Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? no

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? A bottle of Prosecco & milk was left as a welcome for us. This was a nice gesture, however we would have preferred fresh milk rather than UHT. It stated on my booking confirmation that a doggy welcome pack would also be left, but disappointedly nothing wa

“Great cottage, well equipped. Could do with more space set aside in the kitchen & bathroom so guests can actually store their food/belongings. It’s worth mentioning that access to the cottage to park your car is through very narrow lanes & tight corners to get in & out. The cottage is less than a minute’s walk from a grassy area by the sea, an ideal place for dog walking. This was needed as there is no secure garden area to let a dog out. What the area lacks is somewhere decent to eat in the evening. The local pub is just for drinking. There is a brilliant cafe called Bijou by the sea which you can easily walk too, but it closes at latest 4pm. Breakfast highly recommended, just a shame you can’t get an evening meal here. Portessie is not the most picturesque area that we visited, but it makes a great base for getting to other places close by. Behind the cottage is a disused railway line that has been converted to a foot/cycle path & you can get to Portnockie from here. Nearest food shops are in Buckie which is a 5 minute drive. The shop in Portessie closed last year so the info on the website needs updating.”
