A really enoyable stay. Our two small dogs loved the walks and the fact they could come into the secret garden while we had dinner. Lovely place. The breakfast waiter was especially kind and helpful.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable and in the heart of the village. We chose to eat in the restaurant. We were able to dine with our dogs in individual heated cabins. The food was fantastic and we can thoroughly recommend. Breakfast the next morning was good too. Wished we could have stayed longer!

We can’t fault the friendliness of the staff: super helpful and chatty. But Llys Meddyg are understaffed. There was only one person covering breakfast service and whilst they were extremely lovely it made for a long wait. A simple continental breakfast buffet would make a difference whilst waiting for cooked options. The food is delicious and The Secret Garden delightful. We took our dog and we’re given the room next to the restaurant. It’s hidden behind a pretty courtyard and a large glass mirror. A Murrow crows like to peck at from 5.30 am - loudly. We weren’t the first to complain and whilst reception staff was going to talk to maintenance about a way of deterring them, nothing happened. After another early wake up, we draped our towel over it and this did the trick. Three days in. You can here everything in the room abov; chatting, footsteps and each time water was turned on. And in this room you hear everybody leave the restaurant. We had a bunch of teenagers outside the room at midnight chatting loudly for 20 mins. There’s no phone in the room ( and reception closes at 10 anyway! ) so nobody to ask for assistance. There is little to no Wifi that actually works. During our 4 night stay the bed was made but that was the extent of housekeeping. The location of the hotel is wonderful for walking dogs down onto the beach. But parking is a challenge as a small carpark serves both hotel and restaurant. So, in conclusion food yummy, staff very friendly but accommodation very disappointing - small tweaks could make for a very different experience.
