Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? This needs removing from your list my £98 was not refunded

“What a disappointing experience. Despite friendly manager,this property was so run down it looked derelict.the room was tiny and utilitarian.the reception was run down and looked like a junk shop. There was no provision for the dog. The view from the window was overgrown with a broken bike and rubbish directly outside.”

“Room was in poor condition showing lots of wear and tear Fault with fire alarm went off twice during night and room / corridor doors slam so not good for dog Staff helpful and pleasant”

“Staff were friendly and hardworking. Hotel was very dog friendly. Christmas events for the weekend were poorly organised with no times or events clearly communicated. We were told 3 different times for boxing day meal. Hotel was lacking in xmas spirit. Christmas day meal was poor and in a large ballroom with few people and no atmosphere. On check in we were given 4 sheets of information which we found all slightly wrong, including advertising the 'Queen's speech! Overall not bad for the price, but they need to get better organisation for events like this.”

“The Staff were friendly, room was clean, nice and big but the bathroom was freezing. Food in the restaurant was very nice but there wasn’t any background music and you could here a pin drop. There was a tv or radio on around 4am below us so didn’t get a good nights sleep. We would return though. Good value for money.”

“This was the first time we had ever spent Xmas away from family. All our trips booked last year were cancelled due to Covid so we were so relieved this actually went ahead! The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was cosy and warm and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The food in the hotel was delicious we ate Xmas Eve and Xmas day and both meals were excellent. I am vegetarian and they had a good choice. The breakfasts were always well catered apart from the last morning we were leaving (28/12) where unfortunately I think due to unprecedented amounts of people turning up at the same time towards the end of service, the hot breakfast ran out - we promise it wasn't us feeding all the sausages to our dog! The pool and jacuzzi was nice but again, a little tired and the changing rooms were really cold. The hotel is in a great spot for walks with the dog. It was a nice 40minute walk in to Chester and along the Canal. Plenty of pubs/restaurants in the vacinity to walk to. All in all we rate it 3 out of 5. we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking via Pets Pyjamas again.”

“The only good thing about our stay was the staff and the quietness of our room. The room was very dated with a smell of damp (maybe after being in lockdown?). The hotel overall should be condemned. The staff were really friendly and helpful.”
