“Beautifully situated Inn for walks along the Suffolk coast. The Inn was very comfortable, and set up for dog access across everywhere! We would return, slightly noisy with the movement of people and dogs during the day, but peaceful at night!”

“We really loved our stay at The Ship. We had a lovely room with everything we needed including a bed, feeding bowl, towel and treats for the dogs. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional, the venue very comfortable and we loved the food too! We’ll be back!”

“The Ship has a relaxed atmosphere. Our room was good and all the staff were cheerful and helpful. Our vegan dinner was fine but there was no choice and if we had stayed for 2 nights we would have had the same dinner again or eaten somewhere else. There was no vegetarian option. Also we were a little surprised that our vegetarian breakfast was served with only half a medium mushroom and half a small tomato each! Still a very nice place”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Staff were very friendly but there was aobviously a problem with staff shortages. Our room was very overpriced for a small room with very little daylight.

We pride ourselves not only on our wonderful Pet Concierge Team, but also on the fantastic properties we work with, so we are sorry we didn't get it quite right on this occasion. The Ship at Dunwich has always been very popular for us, and as you can see from the reviews on our website, our customers are generally very happy with the hotel. We are therefore, sorry to hear this wasn't quite the case on this occasion. We work very closely with all our hotels so we will pass your comments onto the management team there, and continue to keep an eye on things to ensure everything is running smoothly. “First time booking with PetsPyjamas loved the dog basket, bowl , dog towel and treats.The Ship at Dunwich super friendly staff who genuinely seemed to love dogs. Food was delicious the humans loved the breakfasts and dinners.Bear loved his morning sausage. we were all very impressed.”

“Pros: Great location for the beach. Lovely garden/bar/food at the back of the hotel. Dog was welcome throughout the hotel Cons: Room was noisy from road traffic and early morning deliveries. People were smoking on the front just below our room, not pleasant. Cleanliness is not top priority in my opinion especially the toilet in our room. The tables to dine on were sticky and the cutlery/plates etc did not look clean. The bartender got the ice out of the bucket with his hands. The glass jar of biscuits on the bar, looked like it had been handled many times and not cleaned. The decor is shabby chic but more shabby than chic. The wooden benches in the bar looked like they had previously been used as a decorating table as dirty and splashed with paint. We were charged for our stay when we had already paid through PPjs. After advising, this was taken off. Then we noticed 4 gin and tonics had been added which we did not have, at a cost of £58. Again after advising this was taken off. Third time lucky our final bill was correct!”
