“Prompt delivery was very welcome. The ties themselves are outstanding, I couldn’t believe how well they drove onto the pilot holes, astonishing! The weakest aspect is the drive tool which, after the first 3 ties, popped apart and fell to the ground which was frustrating when up three tiers of scaffolding. It happened twice more, so I stopped and slept on it. My solution was to use gaffer tape to ‘connect’ the tie to the drive tip. This worked well for doing 20 or so ties, where the inconvenience was minor, but on a larger job would be unviable. The drive tool need a better means of retaining the tip than the rather mean ring which is currently used.”

“Very easy to install. I just wish there was a kit with fewer than 50 wall ties as I only needed 6 as a one-off to fix the omissions of our lousy builder!”

“Good method however the drive tool head wore out very quickly. I think the end should be hardened steel.”
