The membrane is easy to apply and plug along the flat walls, but I tried to also fix it around a chimney breast in a victorian (old colliery) terraced house. Nothing is level or flat meaning that the roll kinks easily. I gave up and bought some tanking slurry instead. I would use Permagard again, but not for around a chimney breast.

From a keen DIYer, I have to say tanking anything sent shivers down my spine but this system is very straight forward and easy to use. One downside is the 7mm SDS bit they send, as this is not big enough to allow the insertion of the fixings without breaking them. I found an 8mm bit far better and didn't break any of the fixings when hammering them home. Overall I found this method straight forward and am extremely pleased with the results so far.
