These high quality polyester roller sleeves are our choice of roller sleeve to be used in combination with the Harris Delta Epoxy Roller Frame for application of epoxy floor coatings.
These contractor grade rollers are suitable for a variety of uses while still leaving a fine finish with fast results. They are also great for general painting as well as for GRP Fibre Glass roofing, flooring and contractor use.

“Roller kept slipping out of the frame and the insert kept popping out towards the end. Not really heavy duty enough for the job, caused a huge amount of stress!”

Hi Daren, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the roller sleeve caused problems during your job - that sounds frustrating, especially when working with epoxy floor coatings. As you also ordered the Harris Delta Epoxy Roller Frame 12", the sleeve and frame should normally be a suitable combination for epoxy application. It’s difficult to say exactly what happened without seeing the set-up, but the frame does have a screw section at the end which is designed to help hold the sleeve in place and reduce movement during use. With thicker coatings such as epoxy, it may be worth checking this is fully tightened before application, as the extra resistance can put more strain on the roller. “Instantly melted and gave off fumes. Not appropriate for epoxy liquid DPM. Saved by roller from screwfix which did not degrade instantly.”

Thank you for your review. We appreciate any feedback that can help us improve our products. Usually when fumes and heat are involved, the epoxy has gone off too quickly and this is when a sleeve cannot withstand the extreme heat. If the epoxy is left too long in the bag after mixing or the floor temperature and air temperature are higher, this speeds up the reaction. Please contact our technical team for further assistance.
