“This is a fantastic metal replica of the venerable Colt 1911A1 as used by US forces in Vietnam. It is solid contruction and works flawlessly even though it is a single stack (Narrow mag) which limits the amounf ot gas it can hold. It is accurate at usual pistol engagement distances with good recoil and a satisfying sound. It fits well into my vietnam, era leather golster and really looks the part. The only thing that lets this down, and it is purely a cometic issue, is the lack of trades to really make it look the part. If you can overlook this, it is a great pistol and perfect for an old school WWII/Korea/Vietnam loadout and, if it really bothers you, you can probably find somone with a laser engraver that could add the correct trades should you so wish.”

“I recently had to surrender my blank firing 1911 (I’m a WW2 re-enacting ) to the police, apparently they could be modified to fire live ammo. And I must the R31 is a great replacement.”

“You have got to respect the classics! That's what this good ol' 45 does. There's something that's just clean about it, no rails or frivolity. A tool for the job at hand. The cycle is clean and snappy, feel solid and reliable. With a perfect finish to sit in your bottom drawer next to the bottle of whiskey that you take a slug of when you work a difficult case. Mickey Spillane references aside, this one would fit in any load out as historically accurate or a tip of the hat to a legendary sidearm. Any discerning collector or player should have at least one 'Betsy' in the Airsoft armoury.”
