“Great book on the Totenkopf division during it's time at Kursk. A reprint of a wartime book printed in English and German. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the picture quality wasn't real sharp owing to the fact this is a reproduction of a wartime book. That being said there are still enough nice pictures to warrant this purchase plus it was a good read even though it's obvious it was written at the peak of WW2 and has a propaganda slant.”

“I was expecting to get just the usual accompanying text with photographs, what you really get is a personal story, very well written to engage the reader. As you read through each page you gradually get a sense of the frustration they must have felt that despite not being defeated themselves they were still being forced to retreat. A real privilege to be able to get this book today.”

“Good read for the eye witness accounts. Photos not enhanced, but I was expecting that as it is an unedited reprint. The book works for me.”
