“This is an excellent photo reference with nicely rendered colour plates of subjects commonly seen in the Normandy battles. It even helpfully provides call outs for the colours for the modeller to use to replace the finish of those vehicles. The proof-reading and over-emphasis on one particular subject has lost this book a star. The proof-reading should have picked up the numerous and extensive insertion of hyphens into words that aren't hyphenated. Once I got used to it, I was able to filter it out. Still should have been picked out though. The over-emphasis, was the several pages given over to a certain tank commander and his essentially insignificant action in Villers Bocage. More space could have been given over to the decisive battles at Mortain and Falaise instead of this already over-glorified subject.”
