Fascinating book for anyone interested in this aspect of German armour during WW2. It's broken down into sensible chapters (an overview of the campaign, and then chapters on each tank type) and contains all sorts of interesting photographs, and some colour scheme examples. Thoroughly recommended.

Italienfeldzug gives a good overview of the Italian campaign. Many pictures are clear and good quality. Great intro for those interested in the forgotten campaign in Europe.

The book didn't disappoint. It's picture heavy, with a few pages of really interesting first hand accounts of combat by US and Commonwealth tankers. I had seen maybe 40% of the images before, but the authors have added value by publishing additional or unseen extra images of the same vehicle, or publishing larger, higher quality images than I had seen previously. The sections on the Tiger and Elefant are particularly strong, with lesser emphasis (ie, smaller page count) on other vehicles such as the Wespe. I will buy more in the series and I look forward to seeing what the authors will focus on next; Nashorn for me please!

A good first volume on a very underreported theater. I look forward to follow on volumes.
