Panzerwrecks has now expanded from around 100 pages in previous releases to 128, giving even more to absorb from this new volume. Panzerwrecks 23 is the third visit to Italy and does not disappoint. Tiger number 1 of S.Pz.Kp. Meyer (later S.H.Pz.Abt. 508) is covered here in detail, along with other 508 vehicles and illustrates how the hulks were stripped over time. Stug III lost at Cassino are covered in detail plus a huge array of other German and Italian machines. The volume concludes with a detailed study of the Marder III convoy destroyed and pushed off the road at Esperia. Some of these images have appeared in other publications, some in colour and other B&W. For me, they have represented the Rosetta stone, unlocking each colour when interpreting the camouflage in B&W images. It is great to see the majority of the convoy images together here in one publication - plus a useful map by Simon Vosters to understand the order the images were captured and how the convoy was lost. A great publication.

What you would expect from one of the Panzerswrecks series. The pictures are well printed in a large format (many A4 landscape format) with informative captions.
