“Another gem of a book by RZM Publishing. This hefty tome is a photographic snapshot of "Wiking" in mid-1944. Most images are reproduced in large format, on quality paper. A number I've seen elsewhere, but not at such striking resolution. As a viewer, you get drawn into this historic world by the sheer scale of the imagery. The Panther is indeed a photogenic panzer! The subject matter is diverse, from combat photography, doomed prisoners, tanks on maneuver, panzer recovery and detailed shots of infantry, AFV crew & commanders. Plus excellent captions, maps and leader biographies. Although expensive, if you are an aficionado of Eastern Front warfare, it's worth the money for the evocative, sometimes poignant, often dramatic photography.”
