“I underestimated the depth this book would go in to. It is surely the greatest book ever written on Kursk and I doubt will ever be surpassed. If your serious about the subject you should own this book!”

“An excellent response to the many myths propagated about the Kursk battle, and especially the role of the Waffen-SS in the fight. The biggest single myth is the "Hundreds of Tigers lost" from Soviet propaganda (impossible when there were only about 45 there). Most German AFV involved were Panzer 3 or Panzer 4, with StuGs and some captured T-34s. The disappointing debut of the Panther is also detailed, with many being lost to mines or technical problems rather than enemy gunfire.”
