I have only given this four stars, not because it is not an excellent publication but, rather, because I found it slightly less interesting than Vol.3. Other than that, this is also an excellent publication, with plenty of coloured photos and profiles to inspire armour modelers, whether or not specifically interested in the tanks and armoured vehicles used in Arab and North African conflicts.

I have not had a chance to read the book fully yet, but I had a few quick looks through and it looks really informative. There are some really obscure vehicles and subjects covered and I really look forward to reading it fully.

I expected it to have more photos of vehicles in the middle east wars and accounts from ex crews on actual performance in the field.that score I was disappointed, on the plus side the illustrations which made up most of the book is intresting as they are mostly colour therfore ideal for modeling. It covers the vast majority of vehicles AFVS in the main, along with general information on the subject. If you like AFVS you can't fail to appreciate the book. Covers a vast array of vehicles over a long time span.

Excellent book with many colour plates and photos of the actual vehicles, many of which I have not seen before.

Brilliant book and very educational to me as a relatively recent follower of this period of warfare. Fantastic illustrations throughout with brief descriptions of each and every image. Looking forward to part two!!

.Good buy, much needed overview of this period.I would have preferred fuller coverage of the 1948-56 era.I expected more detailed information on the camouflage paint shades.Despite this,I was happy with the colour profiles.
