Tensor Trail Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad Regular Reviews

4.8 Rating 59 Reviews
My previous mattress was a mummy shape, non-insulated and of a different brand. As I have recently switched from a sleeping bag to a quilt, I wanted an insulated mattress (4R). For years I've been trying to perfect my sleep situation when hiking. I think I have hit the holy grail here. The 4 things that this mattress does exceptionally well. 1. It's warm! 2. It's long (I'm 188cm) and finally my feet don't hang off the end 3. It's wide! (when rolling during the night, not once did I fall off 4. It's Quiet!(So much quieter than other brands I've owned. Other mattresses would actually wake me up when rolling around. Not this one). Lastly having the inflatable bag to blow it up is a game changer. Much easier on the lungs. Nemo I'm in love! Lastly, pair it with the Nemo Filo pillow and you will have the best nights sleep known to man kind. I slept on this next to my couch one night.

Bought it for my wife for overnight hikes. She is always complaining about quality of sleep. She is very happy with Tensor sleeping mat, she said its very light, small, keep her warm and comfortable! Definitely best sleeping pad for all overnight hikers!

Quieter than other pads, easy to inflate and deflate and thick and comfy to sleep on, this pad is a great lightweight pad for backpacking.

Only used for one night so far but can definitely recommend as one of the top 3 sleeping pads out there. Cheaper than the Thermorest, lighter than the Big Agnes Rapide. Yet to comment on durability due to limited use but any good hiker should carry a repair kit for inflatables. Only negative which I hope it just user error was that my partner slept on it and got a dead arm.

Had a great experience ordering 2 x Nemo Tensor pads from OzBackcountry. Really great pricing, pleasant correspondence and easy transaction!

Currently own an Exped Synmat UL (medium), a Therm-a-Rest Neo Air XLite (regular), a Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Uberlite (regular/medium) and a Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Uberlite (long/wide) and none of these market leading mattresses are as comfortable to sleep on as the Tensor - I am 52 and 75kgs, and the medium/wide is a must.

I took the mat out overnight 2 weeks ago, it was great. Nice and warm. Unfortunately, the stuff sack stitching fell apart the first time I tried to put it away. Very poorly made.

Overall the mattres seems good. Small and light when packed. Comfortable and no to cold when set up. Coming from a self inflating thermarest there is a little more setup and pack down time. Not a fan on the pump sack at all. You still need to blow into in to get it to puff up enough to add air. Over all I'm fairly happy.
