<p>The Osmio 2.5 x 10 GAC & De-Alk Filter incorporates granular activated carbon (GAC) which is combined with De-alk resin (Purolite C107E). The filter is effective against chlorine, taste and odour, heavy metals e.g. lead, and will also tackle hard water, which is seen as limescale in kettles and as an unsightly scum on the surface of hot drinks. Water hardness varies greatly depending upon location, so the filter will need to be replaced at 3 - 6 monthly intervals or longer all of which entirely depends on the hardness of your water and the amount you use.</p>

“I have purchased these filters several times and each time I use them I find that limescale is as it no change I have checked the amount of limescale using an election machine and strips and not much improvement I have. Asked several times over the phone with osmio water and no other suggestions So I will like to hear from osmio water what can a lime filter remove As all companies out there that all say lime scale filters but non work whether it is similar to this one or reversed osmosis or electric ones or the inline ones from my experience they all don't work or only work for a week or two then stop working .the thing with lime scale you can't get rid of Mg and Ca from the water If you read all these companies small print they don't guarantee it works The only thing works is salt water softener but can't drink it I will like an expert to discuss with me this issue and I challenge them to give me guarantee that any of the lime filters work other the salt water softener I am here critical of the companies who says our filters do get rid of lime scale If you want to be sure get expert to check you water before and after filtration for limescale you'll see what I mean and check it on several times like a week and 4 weeks and so on you'll see no difference few weeks after installing the filters”

“This is the second refill pack, which should say something. The lack of limescale in the kettle shows the filter works and reduces the time it takes to boil - saving energy and prolonging the life of the appliance. Also helps to keep the iron and saucepans clear.”

“Great filters, bought to remove limescale and it does the job and reduces the TDS to very low levels. However, I think I'll be buying the dual resin filters next time just to see how they compare. Great service from Osmio, thanks.”
