“This is a very good solution to head protection while ice skating, much better than head-bands, which are reported to slip up after a backwards fall leaving the skull unprotected for the rebound impact. Also much better than hard helmets, which are heavier and can impede awareness of other skaters approaching. No problem with a soft shell, since the ice is flat. I'm nearly 75, but the helmet is sufficiently stylish to be acceptable to younger skaters too. Clip neat but a bit fiddly to undo, much easier to loosen chin strap to remove.”
