I was advised by the surgeon who was going to operate on my hip, to use a heel elevator prior to the operation. The reason being was that one leg was shorter than the other and an elevator would get me onto an even keel. The elevator worked fine.

I have leg shortening due to movement of a prosthetic hip joint that has moved. I was advised to use an Elevator to make up the difference until I have corrective surgery. Your Heel Elevator does the job really well, thank you.

Not entirely convinced of these. Due to ankle fusion I lost about 15mm on left leg. This raises my heel appropriately, but the taper begins too soon for me. It could do with being at least 25mm longer before it tapers, as the result is that it is quite unstable and feels like my heel is resting on a ball and not having having support going under arch. I guess I was expecting half of foot insole raiser which would make it more stable. If you are buying for a leg length discrepancy then I would advise searching for other longer options firstly.
