“The Aerobin:600 was very easy to assemble, including the Lung-pipes, having watched the videos, but I wonder if there should be a 4th half-length Lung stage? Although the 600 extension sides were supposedly different, they assembled easier. The inserts under the lid are for hanging it from the bin sides when loading large volumes, but they also act as hinges when lifting the lid. Within two weeks the content started the compacting process having been refilled regularly and even with the air temperature being between (-4 to +13)C, you can still feel the heat inside the bin when lifting the lid. I fitted the clear Leachate pipe, having swapped the connectors, thus allowing me to see when Leachate might be ready for collection, but I'm not expecting to see this for quite a few weeks. So it appears to work & work well, but it is still early days yet, as you are advised that it takes 12 weeks to actively produce compost. Currently considering buying an additional Aerobin:600, as I still have lots of plant material to cut down, put through the shredder, and then compost, but I need to prepare the standing area for it first.
