Add a Mediterranean flavour to your garden with this 250L Antique Amphora Water Butt in Terracotta which includes a planter and plant fleece. This water butt has highly elaborate details and is both UV-stable and weather resistant. It also comes with a choice of brass or chrome tap and a pre-fitted inlet seal and threaded connection for tap, so no need for drilling. Downpipe is not included but can be bought as an optional extra. “Thank you for your delivery. Unfortunately, things did not go well. As it was not emphasised in the advert, I assumed rather late in the day that it was not actually terracotta. I had not expected the seam of the mould to be so apparent, but I persuaded my wife that it would be hidden from view. But far more importantly, it leaked! I followed the instructions faithfully and wrapped the plumber's tape 10 times around the threads of both the stopper at the bottom and the tap, but it leaked, from both! I even added some silicon paste afterwards, but to no avail. The brass tap was also of a very inferior quality and the connecting section was so thin that it bent when I applied a hose to it. The threading for the tap also did not tighten in the upright position. You did agree to take it back, but we have not yet received a refund. We hope this will be paid soon. We have now been paid the refund for the whole amount, with an apology. So thank you for that.”

Hi John, It does state on our website that the water butt is made out of plastic under details on the product page (Material: Plastic 'clay terracotta effect'). Sincerest apologies that this had developed a leak, this was collected and sent back to the manufacturer for inspection and your refund was applied on the 26th of September.
