“As a 70-hour course, I was expecting videos to demonstrate some of the techniques used in First Aid. Unfortunately, there were none. Some of the photos were relevant to the reading texts, but many were not. The quizzes were good to check what you have learned. I feel that better use of visuals would be appropriate for this online course. I have done several First Aid courses in the past, mostly in the classroom, so this was a refresher for me, and as such it served its purpose. I would advise anyone new to First Aid to do a classroom course with an organisation like the Red Cross or St. John Ambulance as practical hands-on experience of relevant techniques is essential for novice first aiders rather than an online course which only involves reading texts and doing quizzes.”
