“We bought four of these lights three years ago to go on some stables and now need two more to go on another building. We haven't put the new ones up yet but if the old ones are anything to go by, they are well worth the extra money for stainless steel. Not only do we think they look smarter than galvanised ones but after some swallows had nested above the ones we already have, we were able to clean the lights up and they look like new, even after they had a summer's worth of swallow poo on them! We have since blocked up the ledge the swallows nested on. The lights came up well but electricity and bird poo probably aren't a good mix! One thing to note is that the lights can only be fixed "portrait" on a wall, not "landscape" and not on an overhang. This is not always clear from the adverts.”
