“Good points: 100kg load weight - max for the Astra Sports tourer. Good internal structure. Bit faffy to set up involving a lot of on and off the car (It took me an hour, but I'm not fast). Tip: Use a marker pen to mark where the brackets sit on the bars to make easy tightening with them off the car: I couldn't get the key in with them fitted. Once done, it is a matter of (un)doing the four bolts to attach them. The security key looks like a large anti-tamper Torx key so if it breaks (2 provided) they should be easy to replace. Don't think of laying a bike on it though, without removing a pedal - they are quite close to the roof. One bad point - my roof rails have locating holes, presumably to stop roof bars sliding. These bars do NOT have a locating notch to lock into these, so I will have to make sure they are seriously tight so they don't slip. I've yet to put my first load on them. As far as noise - they are as noisy as my square steel set on my old car, so don't buy them with any high hopes in that area. As long as they don't slip, they're substantial.”
