“The aluminium bars should have been simple to set up but the instructions were in pictures only which made me a little untrusting so I double checked the measurements. It would have been fine if I'd have just cut the measurement inserts to the mark given in the instructions which would have made the process quicker.
I have used these aluminium bars and feet once. The fact that they are ready set up to locate next time in the locator holes is great and will make it super quick to put back on. I think the locator holes on my octavia in the door opening will make these bars extremely secure.
Unfortunately The back covers (only for aesthetics and aerodynamics) are weak and do not fit very securely over the back of the feet one clip broke upon fitting but surprisingly this cover stayed on in use. Another with both clips intact actually came off on the short trip of about 100miles and was missing on our return. Good bars, good design, easy to fit if you trust the length to cut the inserts given in instructions (which I should have) but don't expect to keep the back covers for long if mine are an average example.”
