Never had waterproof runners before. First run in them was a hot day and feet felt a little damper than usual, presumably due to reduced ability of the shoes to 'breathe' out the sweat vapour, but were comfortable enough, felt stable and reliable on the off-road route I had chosen. Subsequent few runs off-road on ground covered in dew, shoes kept my feet cool and dry, which was nice. However, a few weeks in once I had done a few runs on proper wet ground, I had suspicions that the right foot was letting in moisture from around the big toe, although no physical signs of damage. I was off running for a while due to injury, but walked off-road in them a lot. As the weeks went on, I became sure of my suspicion that there was a leak around the front right toe. Friends said you should return them, but I can't bear the thought of the waste that entails. Overall, I am very pleased with the shoes, they feel comfortable, stable off-road, reasonable grip in very wet ground. A little disappointed that the right foot didn't stay fully waterproof for longer, but then it is just so normal to have wet feet when running in the UK, it doesn't bother me.
