“These replaced a pair of X-Claws that started falling apart after under 600 miles. I was looking for a minimalist shoe for wide feet with good grip on soft wet ground, which seems just about impossible to find. The X-Talon 255 has excellent grip, and doesn't feel as squishy and bulky as most running shoes these days. They would be exactly what I wanted if they were a fit 5 and not just a 4, my feet really would like more room, not sure why there is always this assumption that trail running shoes need a tighter fit??”
“They feel heavy although they might not be. Also the wider fit (did I have a choice?) makes them a bit wide at the front part of the foot making a crease when I run. - so far not rubbing but might do with thin socks. Otherwise they are fine”
