13.13 miles straight out the box.Nothing negative to say about these shoes. They we’re given a good work out.Up steep, down steep.Through mud along plenty of uneven and varied terrain.Really comfortable and I didn’t feel unsteady over any ground. And thanks to Northern Runner for exchanging my original choice of shoes quickly without issue.

Great Midsole. Upper could use some work. As somone who doesn't like overly mushy soft shoes like the Speedgoat, the midsole of these are a breath of fresh air - I would describe them as having a sort of 'damped rubberiness' and they provide excellent protection for the long haul on rocky terrain. I would say that the closest feeling midsole would be the La Sportiva Akasha. The outsole works well for most UK conditions. My reservations on the shoe are mostly in the upper: I found the toebox to be more tapered than the G270, putting pressure on the little toes. Also the toebumper angles downward (tapering vertically), making the shoe feel like it comes up short and putting pressure on top of my toenails. I tried a half size up to mitigate this but was swimming in the shoe as the midfoot fit is quite broad. So ultimately, close to the perfect ultra shoe, but I suspect that the fit may ultimately relagate them to a training shoe for me....
