“This was my third pair of Altra Timps, and I was expecting to like them as much as I had liked the others. Unfortunately, this hasn't proved to be the case. Although the footbed remains the same, the reduction in the amount of material across the top of the shoe, promoted as an 'improvement', has the effect of constricting the foot across the toebox. This has given rise to rubbing and pain rendering them unwearable. Although this model has been superseded, this design approach appears to have been adopted by a number of later models, which begs the question why? There is no shortage of narrow, tight-fitting shoes out there. It seems madness for Altra to join their ranks”
